Autumn moodboard
Autumn. The season of earthy tones and sweet pumpkin lattes (actually not a fan but I’ll take Starbucks’ word for it). It’s often seen as the start of the annual wind down, the part of the year when we come back inside, hunker down and wait for better weather.
While New Year is the traditional time for making resolutions and taking steps towards a better you, autumn can also be a great time to evaluate goals, reset and resolve to learn new skills.
On the moodboard
Colours: Put together a palette that captures the season’s cosier side. Mix earthy browns and deep greens with warming orange accents.
Inspiration: Make the blue-leafed thistles of Lotta Kühlhorn’s ‘Scottish Ornamentation’ your visual motivation. Thistles represent strength and resilience, useful traits when it comes to achieving the goals we set for ourselves. Take this season to think about what it is you want and how to get it or get there. Map your way towards these goals, setting actionable steps along the way.
